Toril and Faerûn

Scope: Forgotten Realms setting lore. This is not established Arcfall/Idlewood canon.
Toril is the planet on which much of the Forgotten Realms setting takes place. Its best-known landmasses include Faerûn, Kara-Tur, and Zakhara, described together as parts of a central supercontinent. Faerûn is its western portion. Toril also has other continents and island regions; Faerûn should not be mistaken for the entire planet.
The setting’s geography and history have changed across published eras. For example, Maztica was displaced to the parallel world Abeir during the Spellplague and returned to Toril in the Second Sundering. That example is a setting-specific event, not a general property of world geography.
The names and relationships here do not establish an Arcfall equivalent, local geography, population, political history, or calendar. Those fields remain unknown unless separately authored for the campaign.
