Keeper Halvek
Preserved local adaptation or Roll20 reference. Its people, events, inventories, and geography belong to their stated source context; they are not merged into original Everterra canon.
Role: Keeper of the Ninth Gate's foundation register and procedures. Allegiance: The Gate institution. Status: Prepared future encounter on the party's possible return; not an accepted checkpoint event.
Halvek is not undead. The campaign says the Gate has replaced parts of his memory with procedure. He wants procedure to continue because little else remains of him. Addressing him by his given name, showing a corrected record, or asking about a specific prisoner may reach the remembered person beneath the role. He offers the foundation register if Seraph returns to custody, believing that this would stabilize both Gates; the expansion says he will not lie about that belief. On a negotiated victory he may remain, resign, or escort freed prisoners to the culvert. The source leaves that outcome to play.
