Source scope: Published Forgotten Realms reference. No local campaign source places Idlewood in the Dalelands.
The Dalelands are described as communities around or within Cormanthor, with the Sea of Fallen Stars to the west, Cormyr to the southwest, Sembia to the south, and the Desertsmouth Mountains to the northwest. This broad orientation is an article summary, not an exact boundary survey; regional descriptions can vary by source and era.
