Source scope: Published Forgotten Realms reference. Waterdeep is not established as a nearby city, authority, or campaign destination.
The cited article describes Waterdeep as a major deepwater harbor on the northern Sword Coast and places it about 150 miles north of Daggerford. Its population figure of more than 100,000 refers to the city proper in the late 14th century DR; it is a dated published-setting figure, not a current census or a population estimate for another era.
