Version / correction: Earlier local adaptation based on Darkling: Idlewood. Preserve the sourced details below as that adaptation's record. Everterra is the owner-designated primary setting; this village entry does not define Everterra's Idlewood. See Everterra: Idlewood.
Established geography and civic places
The campaign book describes a village of about 200 people gathered around a mill stream, stone chapel, meeting hall, and inn. There is no standing guard. When danger comes, a reeve organizes watches. Residents broadly distrust the Crown but fear being named rebels.
- The Lantern and Sheaf: Mara Vale's inn. Zed stole a Crown letter from a drunken guard there before the campaign's opening morning. Mara notices matters affecting her staff and overlooks harmless mischief.
- Saint Orin's Chapel: Brother Pell keeps burial and marriage records. Corvin hid a second ledger behind the cracked east saint; that secret is campaign material, not a public village landmark.
- Meeting Hall: a timber building with three entrances, a bell rope, and a public record chest. The book proposes it as a venue for a later debate, trial, heist, or riot; none is established as having occurred.
- Mill stream: a stated village landmark. The source does not name the miller, watercourse, or a wider river system.
The expansion adds possible local evidence and scene details, including a public chest with tax rolls, a boundary map, and a copy of Corvin's will. Treat the keyed details as preparation for play, not accepted events.
Campaign connection
The party's completed opening sequence includes the stolen letter, the Crown assault on Corvin Farm, the surrender of three soldiers, and the late blue flare above Idlewood. The current campaign checkpoint is shortly after 1 p.m. at Crow Hollow. The village is the community around the farm, not a separate faction with a fixed guard or army.
