Landscape and ordinary animals
Idlewood's named environment includes a mill stream, orchard, rye fields, pasture, kitchen gardens, a well, and a wooded ravine with a spring channel. The wider route includes whisper marsh, flooded or drowned road sections, Darkwood, and a slate quarry pit. The farm keeps eighteen cattle and two draft horses; Zed's trained raven Eve scouts and carries simple signals. The campaign also includes a mastiff as an animal danger. These examples do not establish complete local species lists or wild-animal abundance.
Foundation-linked phenomena
The campaign describes ash-crows as birds animated by foundation residue in an optional Crow Hollow encounter. They repeat names associated with the Ninth Gate. Elsewhere, a chorus of displaced prisoners is caught in the moving foundation; the text explicitly says it is not a demon. Treat these as campaign-specific supernatural facts, not ordinary ecology or a general creature taxonomy.
Birds fall silent at the eastern orchard during a foundation event. That is a scene sign, not evidence that the area is always silent or ecologically barren.
