Everterra everyday life and institutions

REFERENCE DOSSIER · 1 MIN READ

Original campaign-world reference. Sections describing the supplied Day 17 instance record that playthrough only; possibilities remain possibilities.

Idlewood's everyday world is built from agricultural work, roads, food, horses, weather, family, wilderness, trade, records, and Crown authority. Wheat, roots, orchards, and livestock support a settlement whose protection is being useful and forgettable.

Canaan's reach is institutional. Roads, fortresses, requisitions, labor compounds, inspections, paperwork, quotas, coercion, and diplomacy connect distant authority to local livelihoods. Legitimate obligations and corrupt over-collection can coexist. Different officials, farmers, merchants, and travelers have different interests and information.

The world helper describes pressure from seed and food tension, unsafe roads, missing people, imperfect or contradictory records, and questions about maps or old sites. These are setting pressures and possible initial conditions, not a claim that every new player encounters the same event.

The source's independent network doctrine gives partners reasons to protect a shared infrastructure while limiting access to what their roles need. An ordinary town is not automatically a rebel capital, and a trade waystation is not automatically neutral.

Neither source supplies a complete calendar, economic price list, faction census, or world map. The Day 17 run is one instance's time marker, not the world's absolute year.
