Record type: Established Idlewood character; current play position follows the accepted local checkpoint.
Identity: Zed is a lightfoot halfling and a patient archer, burglar, and improviser. He travels with Eve, his trained raven. The campaign allows Zed to be the player character while the other three heirs may be player characters, companions, or GM-run allies; this dossier does not assign a player role. (Campaign book: default party)

Background and relationships

Zed entered the story at Corvin Marrow's wake carrying a sealed Crown letter he had stolen from a drunken guard at the Lantern and Sheaf. The letter was bait, and its orders revealed that Captain Orlan Vance wanted the three heirs alive and the foundation seal recovered. Zed helped recover Corvin's trapped iron case, defended the farm, and killed Vance with a hidden arrow. When three guards surrendered, Zed agreed to Seraph's request that the prisoners not be executed before questioning. He and Garr later staged a quarry scene and sent blue and red signals to redirect the Crown riders. (Premise and history; accepted playthrough log)

At the accepted checkpoint shortly after one o'clock at Crow Hollow, Zed and Garr have returned from the quarry signals. Seraph has just warned the group that the eastern boundary stone is a lock and that a Crown diviner is in Idlewood. Zed's next action is open. No later prepared chapter establishes what he chooses. The Crown's response beyond the immediate diversion is also unresolved. (Accepted continuity)

Motivations, languages, and possessions

The record shows Zed acting through improvisation, stealth, and planning, but gives no separate personal history or stated long-term motivation. His promise to Seraph establishes a specific commitment regarding the captives; it does not settle his future choices. His listed languages are Common, Halfling, and Thieves' Cant. The structured campaign record lists a shortbow, shortsword, leather armor, thieves' tools, the three-tower foundation seal, Vance's signet, and a small amount of coin. Inventory can change in play, so this is a recorded list rather than a claim about present custody. (Character data; campaign book: party)

Unknown: Zed's life before the campaign, family, home, and current private goals are not established in the cited sources.
