Role: Deceased farmer and former keeper of the Idlewood land and its buried foundation. Status: Dead before the campaign opens; known through records, neighbors' memories, and possible foundation echoes. Affiliation: Formerly helped the Office of Gates build its first moving gate.
Corvin was patient and secretive, and felt guilt about his part in creating the moving gate. He maintained the ward through annual burial rites, hid records and a foundation disk, and arranged a legal inheritance for Seraph, Hugo, and Garr. The book frames this as an invitation: the heirs are free to choose what to do with the farm and mechanism. His private knowledge includes the eastern boundary stone's function as a lock and the foundation's relation to the Gate. His full knowledge and present influence are not established beyond the source-described echoes.
