Local civic life

Idlewood has a reeve, Alis Fen, who organizes a watch when trouble arises. The village has no standing guard. A meeting hall contains a public record chest and bell rope; civic proceedings may take the form of debate or hearing. The sources do not describe a charter, election method, court hierarchy, tax system, or routine watch schedule.

Brother Pell keeps the chapel's burial and marriage records. The chapel is called Saint Orin's Chapel; the name alone does not establish a wider pantheon or religious doctrine. Pell can authenticate Corvin's concealed second ledger. Mara Vale runs the Lantern and Sheaf inn and is described as an organizer who may bring people into a committee.

Property and inheritance

Corvin's will passes Corvin Farm in equal shares to Seraph, Hugo, and Garr. This is a specific lawful inheritance in the campaign, not a complete statement of general inheritance law. Corvin arranged it to prevent the Crown from activating the foundation without the heirs' consent.

Crown structures

The imported Roll20 world canon names King Canaan. It describes maintained roads, predictable taxation, institutional chains of command, and a public preference for stability and containment. The Ninth Gate's existence is known publicly, although its operation is rarely discussed. These are qualitative setting facts; they do not supply tax rates, road maps, official ranks, or a complete legal code.

The Crown is not presented as a single unified actor. The secret Office of Gates is a royal program operating behind ordinary Crown institutions. Its agents lack a shared public badge; its documents use a three-tower counterseal and property-recovery language. Vance's soldiers know less than the Office leadership. The larger Crown is not established as aware of the First Gate's continued activity.
