Keepers
Original campaign-world reference. Sections describing the supplied Day 17 instance record that playthrough only; possibilities remain possibilities.
On this page
Record type: descriptive term for people who protect knowledge or access; not established as a formal faction.
Record
- Origins: The term is used by the Hook for people like Edren, who discovered portions of the ancient network. No founding event or charter is known.
- Population / scale: Unknown. It is not established that Keepers formed a membership body at all.
- Alignment / leaders: No collective alignment or leadership is established.
- Goals / methods: People described as Keepers deliberately concealed, fragmented, protected, or restricted access to parts of the old network. Their reasons and methods may differ.
- Territory / resources: No territory, common resources, or shared headquarters is established. Knowledge, records, relationships, and access restrictions may be held by separate individuals.
- Relationships: The Hook applies the label to people it seeks for their knowledge. Whether any Keepers knew one another or coordinated is unresolved.
Campaign use
Treat “Keeper” as a label, not proof of a unified order. A character may have protected a site independently without knowing the term or another Keeper. Avoid giving every Keeper the same motives or complete knowledge.
