Idlewood world wrapper
An index or source catalog that may link several continuity layers. Follow the context in each linked record; inclusion in one guide does not merge those worlds.
On this page
This folder records the campaign's broad premise, established history, recurring people, deep setting truths, and relationship to published D&D lore. It is a lore reference, not a character sheet, encounter guide, or transcript. Detailed local places and faction records belong in their dedicated world folders; consult those indexes when available rather than duplicating their dossiers here.
Original campaign world
The owner-supplied documents establish Everterra, rather than an assumed Forgotten Realms placement. They provide the Wayfarers, Hook, Keepers, Watchers, Canaan's Crown, the brothers' original history, and the northern mystery.
- Everterra and Idlewood — original setting and source correction.
- Day 17 continuity — the supplied playthrough, distinct from a fresh world.
- Original campaign sources — both full source documents and their provenance.
Earlier local adaptation and Roll20 reference pages
- Premise and history — what happened before play and what the campaign is about.
- Accepted continuity — the actual table checkpoint and its authority over prospective chapter branches.
- People and characters — biographical context without game statistics.
- Hidden truths — established facts behind the farm, Gates, and Office.
- Published D&D lore — what is borrowed from the rules and creature lore, and what remains original to this campaign.
- The world beyond the Gate — King Canaan, government, and public knowledge of the Ninth Gate from the existing Roll20 world canon handout.
- The Ninth Gate as an institution — detention, assessment, labor, records, and the four named officials in Roll20.
Individual dossiers are indexed under Characters and NPCs.
Source priority and correction
The original world follows the supplied Darkling/Everterra world helper. The supplied Continuum instance records the particular Day 17 run. It is not automatically the current Arcfall save. The entries below describe the earlier local adaptation, whose fixed inheritance adventure and Crow Hollow checkpoint are not merged into the original world. Sources remain preserved so differences are reviewable.
Within the earlier adaptation, its local playthrough checkpoint governs that adaptation's history. The campaign book offers fixed truths and prepared future chapters, and the table expansion elaborates them. A prepared branch is not evidence of a played event and is not imported as an Everterra fact.
