Arcfall world lore library
An index or source catalog that may link several continuity layers. Follow the context in each linked record; inclusion in one guide does not merge those worlds.
On this page
This library collects the world outside player mechanics: its history, inhabitants, factions, regions, geography, institutions, and resources. Its original campaign setting is Darkling / Everterra by Elias Marrow. The owner's supplied world helper and Continuum document now provide the source for its factions and broader world.
Start with Everterra and Idlewood, the campaign factions, and the Day 17 instance. Published D&D material is a reference shelf. The earlier local adaptation remains labeled; its separate playthrough is not silently merged with the original campaign.

Roll20 source imports preserve material copied from the existing campaign. Summaries and new facts are linked into the relevant lore folders while the original source wording is retained separately.
How to read a record
Published reference means a fact belongs to its named D&D setting and source era. Established Idlewood material means it is supported by the current local campaign files. Accepted events mean they appear in the recorded playthrough. A possible chapter event remains a possibility until play establishes it. Unknown means the inspected sources do not provide an answer.
Forgotten Realms is not the campaign's primary setting unless explicitly imported. Everterra, Canaan, Wayfarers, and the Hook come from the supplied original lore. World facts and individual playthrough changes remain separate.
Some entries contain GM secrets. Read a record's audience and context before presenting it to players. This directory is the source for the release's read-only world browser. It does not change GM retrieval, saves, or live Continuum.
Sources and expansion
The source catalog links to current project sources, wiki articles, and PDF references. Source links and named sections let us revisit details when accounts differ. Summaries are written in our own words. Dates in published lore are in-world dates, not the date we collected the information.
Expansion should add supported facts to the relevant record, or introduce a new record and link it from the folder index. Keep history, current conditions, rumors, secrets, and proposals distinguishable. A blank population or an unknown stock is not zero. A handful of named soldiers does not establish an entire faction's census.
Decisions still open
- Everterra's world-scale geography beyond the sourced regional relationships.
- The campaign's absolute world date and the live save or Continuum revision governing active play.
- Whether the settlement ledger's population of 42 and the book's village population of 200 describe different scopes or require a correction.
- Populations, stockpiles, and current plans not established by existing sources.
These gaps do not prevent documenting the facts already established. They remain explicit while the owner and coordinator discuss the world.
